Troubleshooting
Your FORTIS™ heater comes standard with a USB Host interface (like a standard USB port on your computer) that allows you to interface with the heater’s computer controller. In addition to uploading firmware upgrades that may be available in the future, the USB also allows you to download your heater’s operating logs onto a standard USB Flash drive. Operating logs contain an operating history of your heater, together with an error log that details any troubles that your heater has experienced.
Operating logs can be easily uploaded directly to SKYE’s technicians, who can then troubleshoot your heater and respond with the appropriate actions to bring your heater to full functionality. The process is not unlike saving files from your own computer, please follow these simple steps:
Ensure the you have a Flash drive that is formatted as FAT16 or FAT32, which is typical, and at least 2MB of available space.
Insert the Flash drive into the USB connector on the bottom of your unit.
A screen labeled USB DRIVE DETECTED will be displayed. Press the down arrow to highlight DOWNLOAD LOGS and then press OK.
The screen will display DUMPING FILE. It can take up to two (2) minutes for the file to be transferred. If the transfer is successful, the screen will display FILE SAVED followed by DRIVE RELEASED.
The Flash drive can now be removed from the unit and inserted into an available USB port on your computer.
Use the form below to browse to your USB drive and upload the file "detail.log" along with your name, email and description of what the problem is.
