Q: What temperature should the water be set at?
A: The set temperature of the water heater depends on how it is to be used. A comfortable shower temperature should not be much more than 102 degrees F (temperatures above 120 degrees F will cause scalding).
Lower temperatures may also inhibit scale deposits from forming and affecting the efficient operation of the water heater.
